Patrick Dorgu has left the Denmark squad with an injury and is on his way back to Manchester United, where the club will assess him. Bruno Fernandes is staying with Portugal, although his coach, Jorge Jesus, has said the captain has been playing through pain that began at United. Neither player has a published diagnosis. United's next Premier League game is against Tottenham at Old Trafford on Saturday 10 October.
Dorgu went off after half an hour in Copenhagen
Dorgu started on the left of Denmark's attack in Sunday's 2-0 Nations League win over Wales at Parken and was replaced by Mohamed Daramy after 30 minutes. He went down with no opponent near him, held the back of his leg and walked off. Denmark won through a Ben Davies own goal and a second from Gustav Isaksen.
Brian Riemer confirmed in the TV 2 studio after the game that Dorgu's international break was over.
He has an injury and has to go home. A new one has to be called in.

Dorgu will miss Denmark's games against Portugal in Copenhagen on Thursday and away to Wales on Sunday. United confirmed on Monday that he is returning to the club, and gave no timescale. He is the fourth player to leave the Danish camp injured in this window, after Alexander Bah, Kasper Dolberg and Albert Grønbæk. Last season, a hamstring injury suffered at Arsenal in January kept him out for around three months.
Jesus held Fernandes back against Norway
Fernandes started Portugal's 1-0 win over Wales in Lisbon on Thursday and came off late in the game. At his press conference in Oslo on Saturday, Jesus said Fernandes had arrived with an injury from United. He added that Fernandes had told him he had been playing with the pain for around three games, and that this was one reason he was below his usual level against Wales. Jesus, who coached him at Sporting, said he preferred not to risk him against Norway so that he could be fully fit for Denmark.
Fernandes did recovery work instead of training on Saturday and was left out of the 23-man squad for Sunday's game. Portugal won it 2-1 with goals from João Félix and Gonçalo Ramos. United's update on Monday said Jesus hopes Fernandes will be fit for Thursday's game in Copenhagen. It did not describe the injury or say that he will play.
What it leaves Carrick for Tottenham
Benjamin Šeško was already missing from international duty. He withdrew from the Slovenia squad on 21 September with a recurrence of his shin problem, and United said he would have tests before a recovery plan was set. No result has been published. Marcus Rashford and Kobbie Mainoo both withdrew from the England squad before the break began.
Dorgu's absence would be felt most at left-back. Luke Shaw started there at Fulham on 20 September, the last game before the break. Dorgu replaced him and set up Matheus Cunha's 89th-minute equaliser in the 1-1 draw. Michael Carrick will not know how long he is without Dorgu until United's own medical staff have seen him. United host Tottenham at 17:30 BST on Saturday 10 October.
