Liverpool host Brighton at Anfield on Sunday at 14:00 GMT (15:00 CET), and Andoni Iraola is still waiting for his first Premier League win at home as Liverpool head coach. Asked about it at his Friday press conference, Iraola said the three league home games had not been won, and pointed to wins in bigger games against Atlético Madrid, Villarreal and Tottenham.

NBC Sports' table, published on Friday, has Brighton on 16 points from seven games with a goal difference of +18, and Liverpool on 12. Liverpool beat Villarreal 4-3 on 20 October, and Brighton drew 0-0 at FK Jablonec on 22 October, according to Liverpool's team news report. Sunday is the fifth of nine matches in 28 days for Liverpool across three competitions.

Szoboszlai is out, Gravenberch is back

Dominik Szoboszlai will miss the game. He was hurt in the Brentford win, missed the Villarreal match and is training alone. Iraola said "Dom is going to be out this weekend", according to Liverpool's team news report.

Ryan Gravenberch is available again after serving a one-match Premier League suspension. Bradley Barcola missed Thursday's training as load management and has trained normally since, Iraola said, so he is fine. Conor Bradley, Hugo Ekitike and Giovanni Leoni remain long-term absentees.

Brighton are close to getting players back

Liverpool's team news report lists Yankuba Minteh and Mats Wieffer as close to a return for Brighton, although Fabian Hurzeler said a Minteh return was more likely next week. Pascal Struijk has missed the last two games and is being monitored, and Jason Steele missed the Jablonec match with illness. Femi Azeez, Evan Ferguson, Kaoru Mitoma, Stefanos Tzimas and Zadok Yohanna are expected to stay out.

On Struijk, Hurzeler said the problem was not serious yet but could become one, the BBC reported.

It's not a big issue, but it's something that can get bigger if you risk it too early.

Hurzeler also spoke about the setting for Sunday's game.

Anfield is always a very special environment and atmosphere.

Iraola expects a hard game

Iraola described Brighton as a very well coached side in Hurzeler's third season, and said he expected a game like the Villarreal one, with both teams pressing and trying to keep the ball.

We have to be at our very best to beat Brighton because now they are with confidence.
