Harry Kane is an England striker who has played for Bayern Munich since the summer of 2023, when he joined from Tottenham Hotspur.
He grew up in east London and came through Tottenham's academy, with early loan spells in the Football League at Leyton Orient, Millwall, Norwich City and Leicester City before he established himself in the first team. He spent the best part of a decade as Tottenham's central striker before moving to Germany.
He plays as a number nine, but rarely as a pure one. Kane drops into midfield to take the ball facing his own goal, turns, and passes forward, which lets Bayern's wingers run beyond him. Vincent Kompany's attack is built around that movement as much as around his finishing.
Kane captains England and has led the side at World Cups and European Championships.
