Jonas Urbig is a goalkeeper for Bayern Munich and the Germany national team. Bayern signed him from 1. FC Köln in January 2025.
Born in Euskirchen in August 2003, Urbig joined Köln's youth setup at the age of nine and came through every age group at the club. He won the German under-17 championship with Köln in 2018/19. After a year and a half with the reserves he was loaned to Jahn Regensburg and then to Greuther Fürth, both in the second division, and he returned to Köln's first team in 2024 before the move to Munich.
He has played for Germany at every youth level from under-17 upwards, and made his senior debut in the UEFA Nations League in October 2026, under Jürgen Klopp. Bayern describe him as a goalkeeper with excellent reflexes who also gets involved in the build-up play.
