England beat Czechia 3-0 at Wembley on Tuesday in the Nations League, and the night belonged to Harry Kane. On his 125th cap he equalled Peter Shilton's record for England men's appearances, scored twice to take his tally to 91 international goals, and set up the other.
Kane captained the side for the occasion, and the result gave Thomas Tuchel's team a third win in four group games after their opening 3-2 defeat by Spain.
Kane's night at Wembley
The opener arrived on 27 minutes, when Kane's cross was turned into his own net by Coufal. It meant Kane had a hand in all three England goals, scoring two and creating the other.
He scored himself on 40 minutes, finishing a move that ran from Elliot Anderson to Morgan Rogers, whose cross he met. Kane was happy to pick out the build-up afterwards, praising the one-touch football and calling the delivery from Rogers "as good as it gets". That was his 90th England goal, after he arrived at Wembley on 89.
The 91st followed on 57 minutes. Lewis Hall swung in a corner and Kane headed it in. Czechia's goalkeeper Horníček kept the score down with a save from Jude Bellingham, and Kane was replaced on 81 minutes.
What Tuchel and Kane said
Tuchel called it a very good performance and a deserved win, praising how fluid and focused his side were. His verdict on his captain was short and to the point.
It's just exceptional every single match.

Tuchel also credited training, attitude, cohesion and belief for the level England are playing at. Kane's own summary was simpler.
It was the perfect night for me personally and also the team.

Kane also spoke about competition for places in the squad, saying everyone wants to be part of it and that this only makes England better. For his club situation, see our report on his Bayern Munich contract.
Where it leaves Group A3
England have now scored 12 goals without reply across their last three games. That run began with a 2-0 win in Prague on 29 September, which we covered in our England v Czechia recap, and continued with a 7-0 win over Croatia in Rijeka on 3 October.
By our own calculation, Croatia can now reach a maximum of nine points, so England need one more point from their last two games to guarantee a top-two finish and a place in the quarter-finals. Our England v Croatia preview looks at the next fixture in more detail.
What comes next
England host Croatia at Wembley on Thursday 12 November. A 126th cap there would make Kane the outright most-capped England men's player, ahead of Shilton. The group finishes against Spain on 15 November.
