Marcus Thuram

Marcus Thuram is a striker for Inter and France, born in Parma while his father Lilian was playing there, a year before Lilian won the World Cup. He came through at Sochaux, moved to Guingamp, and spent four seasons at Borussia Mönchengladbach before Inter signed him on a free transfer in July 2023, choosing the country of his birth over Paris Saint-Germain.

He plays as a centre-forward or off the left, a tall, quick runner who holds the ball up, links play and finishes across his body, and his partnership with Lautaro Martínez has defined Inter's attack since he arrived. He won Serie A in his first season, 2023/24, and the Supercoppa Italiana in January 2024, then the league and Coppa Italia double in 2025/26. He played in the 2025 Champions League final, which Inter lost 5-0 to Paris Saint-Germain.

For France he set up the equaliser in the 2022 World Cup final against Argentina, which France lost on penalties, and was part of the squads at Euro 2020, Euro 2024 and the 2026 World Cup, where France reached the semi-finals.
