Carlos Augusto

Carlos Augusto is a left-sided defender for Inter and Brazil, born in Campinas and raised through the Corinthians academy, where he started as a forward before being moved wide in the under-17s. He won two Paulista championships with the first team in 2018 and 2019, then left a top Brazilian club for Serie B in 2020 to join Monza, a decision questioned at the time. Two seasons later he was part of the side that took Monza into Serie A for the first time in the club's history.

Inter signed him on loan in August 2023 and made the move permanent a year later. He covers three positions, left wing-back, left-back and the left of a back three, and his goals tend to come the same way, a left-foot strike from distance or from a tight angle. He won the Supercoppa Italiana and Serie A in his first season, 2023/24, and the league and Coppa Italia double in 2025/26.

Brazil first called him up in October 2023, and he made his senior international debut that year.
