Antonio Rüdiger is a centre-back for Real Madrid and a Germany international. He was born in Berlin, to a Sierra Leonean mother, and came through the youth system at Borussia Dortmund before joining VfB Stuttgart, where he made his senior debut.
He moved to Roma, first on loan and then permanently, and it was in Italy that he established himself as a first-choice centre-back in a major league. Chelsea signed him in 2017, and he spent five seasons in England before joining Real Madrid on a free transfer in 2022.
