Mirra Andreeva

Mirra Andreeva is a Russian player from Krasnoyarsk, in Siberia, where she started playing at six. She later moved with her sister to Sochi and then to Cannes, which became her training base.

Her breakthrough came on the Paris clay. At 17 she reached the Roland-Garros semi-finals in 2024, and that summer, back at the same venue for the Olympics, she and Diana Shnaider won silver in the women's doubles, losing the final to Sara Errani and Jasmine Paolini. Competing as Individual Neutral Athletes, they won the first medal by Russian athletes at those Games, and Andreeva became the second-youngest Olympic tennis medallist after Jennifer Capriati.

In 2025 she won her first two WTA 1000 titles, including Indian Wells, where she beat Aryna Sabalenka in the final.

Her first major followed at Roland-Garros in 2026. Seeded eighth at 19, she beat the qualifier Maja Chwalińska in straight sets in the final, with Conchita Martínez as her coach, and marked the title by pulling on a jacket printed with her signature post-match line: a thank-you to herself.
