Botic Van De Zandschulp

Botic Van De Zandschulp is a Dutch professional tennis player from Wageningen, born on 4 October 1995. He turned professional in 2016 and is coached by Raemon Sluiter.

He broke through at the 2021 US Open, where he came through qualifying to reach the quarter-finals and became only the third qualifier in the tournament's history to do so, after Nicolas Escudé in 1999 and Gilles Müller in 2008. That run also made him the first Dutch man to reach a Grand Slam quarter-final since Sjeng Schalken in 2004, and it lifted him into the world's top 100 for the first time. He reached a career-high ranking of No. 22 in August 2022.

A right-hander with a two-handed backhand, Van De Zandschulp is an all-court player whose reputation is built on durability rather than power. He reached a second US Open quarter-final in 2026 after beating Alex de Minaur and surviving back-to-back five-set matches, one of which was the fourth-longest in the tournament's history.
