About the player

Marie Bouzková is a Czech player from Prague, where she first played at her parents' local club. At 10 she moved to Florida to join the Bollettieri Academy, and after two years there she continued her development with her father and the coach Cristian Requeni.

Her junior career peaked with the US Open girls' title in 2014. She combined the professional tour with business administration studies at Indiana University, and in 2022 she reached the Wimbledon quarter-finals and, weeks later, won her first WTA title at home in Prague.

The former Spanish international Marc López joined her team at the end of 2025. In 2026 she won on clay in Bogotá and on grass in Nottingham, and took the Cincinnati doubles title with her compatriot Linda Nosková. She has played for Czechia in the Billie Jean King Cup since 2023.
