About the player

Manu Koné is a France midfielder who plays for Roma. He was born in Colombes, in the Paris suburbs, and came through Villeneuve-la-Garenne, Paris FC and Boulogne-Billancourt before joining the Toulouse academy in 2016.

He made his professional debut for Toulouse in May 2019. Borussia Mönchengladbach signed him in January 2021, leaving him at Toulouse until the end of that season, and he spent three seasons in the Bundesliga before moving to Roma in August 2024, initially on loan with an obligation to buy.

He is a central midfielder whose game rests on winning the ball back and carrying it forward, and he has played both as the deepest of a three and alongside a partner in a two.
