LeBron James

LeBron James is a forward for the Philadelphia 76ers, born in Akron, Ohio, and raised by a single mother in circumstances he has spoken about throughout his career. He was on a national magazine cover as a high school junior at St. Vincent-St. Mary, went first overall in the 2003 draft and has never played a season out of the spotlight since.

He has won championships with three franchises: Miami in 2012 and 2013, Cleveland in 2016, and the Lakers in 2020. The Cleveland title, won from three games to one down against a team that had just set the record for regular-season wins, ended a fifty-two-year wait for a major championship in the city and is the result his career is usually argued from. He became the league's all-time leading scorer along the way.

He left the Lakers after eight seasons and signed with Philadelphia in July 2026, saying publicly that he had considered retiring before deciding to keep playing.
