Cason Wallace

Cason Wallace is a guard for the Oklahoma City Thunder, born in Dallas and raised in North Texas, where he played his high school basketball at Richardson High School. He spent one season at Kentucky before declaring for the 2023 NBA Draft.

The Dallas Mavericks selected him 10th overall and traded his rights to Oklahoma City for the 12th pick, Dereck Lively II. The deal was completed in July 2023, with Dāvis Bertāns also moving to the Thunder.

In Oklahoma City he made his name as a perimeter defender who can play either guard spot, moving between the starting lineup and the bench as the rotation needed. When the Thunder traded Lu Dort to Atlanta in July 2026, general manager Sam Presti presented the move as a sign of the club's confidence in him.
